ok i clicked save after editing my url but now ive been redirected to the my other domain without anything on it. but what my question would be is how do i move the core wordpress files to the new directory?

You simply install WordPress in the new location and then upload the old wp-content folder using FTP.

ok i upload wordpress in the new directory but then i have to download the old files from the other directory onto my hard drive then upload them in the new directory also? is that correct?
