Hello, I’m trying to transfer my custom blogger domain (solediction.com), over to a wordpress blog so that solediction.com can be my wordpress blog’s domain. How would I go about doing this? And another question I have is, how do you change those boring old stock templates that wordpress already has for you. I’ve seen other templates but I’m not sure how you would upload them onto your wordpress blog. Would it cost money? Whats a good, cheap host I could use for my wordpress blog?

Thanks to all that can help, I greatly appreciate it!

    1. Setup a WordPress blog on your own hosting somewhere.
    2. Import the Blogger blog into your new site. WordPress has a function built in to do this. You may need to temporarily set the blogger blog to be a “blogspot.com” blog to make it import properly.
    3. After you have it working, move the domain name to point at your own hosting.

    1. Download the theme.
    2. Upload it to your site, in the wp-content/themes directory.
    3. Activate the new theme in the WordPress admin page.

    Would it cost money?

    Some do. Most don’t.

THANKS ALLOT, I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU TAKING THE TIME OUT TO HELP ME!

    GOD BLESS YOU!

    A couple of extra questions…

Will the permalinks stay the same when we transfer the blog?

We have been linking to the blogger labels e.g. https://www.emotionalwellbeingblog.com/search/label/Depression for everything on depression. Will those links still work if we shift the blog to wordpress? I have found a label to category converter but I’m not sure what will happen to the links within posts to each of these labels.

    Thanks
