• I recently decided to go from .com to .org in order to take my blog to the next level, but now I’m stranded!

I have webhosting via bluehost and installed wordpress. I choose the same domain name as my old .com webpage. I’ve exported my page by using the tutorial, but now I have no idea how to access my new .org dashboard to import it. I keep getting to my old dashboard, at my old .com page. I’ve read countless threads but I seem to only get more confused. I’m usually fairly skilled at computers, but I can’t figure this one out.
    What I’m i doing wrong?

  • First question but an obvious one, have you updated your domain name DNS to point to the new hosting? Once that works you should be able to log in as usual.

I’ve just now transferred my domain to bluehost, and all that looks fine now. But I still go to my old dashboard when I type in my url/wp-admin!

How to I update my domain name DNS, and am I still missing that?

Check the domains nameservers at your new host and ensure they point to the nameservers where your new hosting lives. There may also be cache stored in your browser that might be taking you to the old site. Make sure you clear that out as well.
