    Hi,

My company has published a plugin several years ago on www.ads-software.com and since we have change the name of the company. I’d like to change the username but I understood this is impossible.
I have found a related topic here( https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/change-username-17/) where @otto42 says I can create another account and transfer the old plugin on the new account.
Before doing that, I’d like to understand what do I loose and what do I gain in doing that? Do I keep reviews, download stats, activity, the version? Can my existing clients continue to do updates if I move the plugin on another account ? What are the wins and losses globally?

    thanks

Plugins have committers and contributors. Both of these can be changed.

Committers can be added and removed on the “Advanced View” area. This controls who can commit to the plugin in the SVN. Changes made here take about an hour to take effect.

Contributors are the usernames listed in the readme.txt header. This controls who shows up in the “Contributors & Developers” section of the plugin’s page.

Changing these can be done by any committer at any time. This doesn’t affect stats or anything else about the plugin.
