Ok, so I transfered all of my files from my old host to the root directory in a small orange hst using filezilla.

I changed the dns nameserver and now my site goes to this blank screen – check it at https://www.crossfitcoastal.com

Can someone PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO!

Do my files have to go inside of the folder public html? or does it matter?

I can’t have my site down for much longer, please someone help me out!!!!

Yes. You also need to make a copy of your database and move it to the new host too. You should not have screwed with the DNS until the new site was up and working.

Next time, read the instructions first: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Moving_WordPress

I did create a new database and imported my old material into it – I thought I just copy everything into the root directory, not the public html folder?

So I should move everything into the public html folder now?

    | So I should move everything …

    yes.

Thank you thank you thank you!

Switching from GoDaddy was the best choice ever – the website kinks arent there anymore and its SUPER responsive.

    Thanks for the help guys.
