Transferring a Blogger blog with a 404 error (on Blogger)

I currently have a blog on Blogger. I bought a domain through them, and since that day, the redirection has not worked. When trying to access my blog through my old site: https://www.mysite.blogspot.com OR my new site https://www.mysite.net, I get a 404 error. Due to this known issue from Blogger, and no foreseeable future date of recovery, I decided to get things in order to transfer my blog to WordPress. I bought a NEW domain name through GoDaddy, and will be installing a WordPress plugin soon. My question is: If I go through the simple steps on WordPress to transfer my blog, will it transfer correctly (seeing as my current blog is a big 404 error mess)? Or do I need to wait for Blogger to fix their issue before I can transfer it?
