How do I transfer a list of subscribers to JetPack without emailing them all again?

In other words, how do I import a list of subscribers into the JetPack Subscribe feature?

I believe this is impossible to do. But I’m interested in a confirmation too.

In the WordPress.com forums they say some staff memeber will do it. But I’m still waiting…

The Jetpack support team have recently been away for a while. Please be patient whilst they work through the backlog that has accumulated in their absence.

The JP team and WP.COM staff have been on a retreat – so they’re backlogged. They WILL get to this as soon as they can.

We can transfer followers from a WordPress.com blog to a Jetpack site for you. We can’t, however, import subscribers from a third-party service, as @wpyogi pointed out.
