Transferring from WordPress.com to www.ads-software.com

    Hello lovely WordPress users,

    I’ve hired a developer to redesign my blog https://www.londondatcat.com

    We are now at the end stages of transferring my old blog posts from wp.com to wp.org

    My developer has asked me the following:

    “We need to access File system and Database system to move the new website. If you are hosted on a cPanel, you can share access and we can take care of rest.

    Or if you can arrange for a FTP and Database access, we can take care of it.”

    To be fair, I have had a look at other posts that appears to start of asking the same thing but threads veer off into other things – at least that’s how I’m understanding it or it just is complicated for the uneducated.

    Is there a way for dummies like myself (!) to provide such access my developer requires?
