• Dear all,

I just installed another wp 2.0.4 for evaluation purpose.

Unfortuately I first missed to put the proper language de_DE in the wp-config.php (I only put ‘de’ first, but the file’s name is ‘de_DE’

The de_DE.mo Version 2.1.1. was used.

Ok. I changed that after the installation. In the admin area now everything is properly displayed in German.

When viewing the site I discover, that anything else in the sidebar (pages, categories, archives, meta) + the ‘search’ button remains in the original language.

    Even more,
“Posted in Uncategorized | Edit | 1 Comment”
    also is shown in English.

At present I cannot see – on the presentation side – any difference to the original English default setup.

    The admin-side is ok.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you
    Andrew001

  • For quite a while the localization of the WP itself and the localization of themes – has been separated.
I’ve explained it a bit longer here:

Andrew001 because of the limitation of Themes in English (not saying there are none in any other language)on the 8th of August we will release the latest Guru Manager update which has multi-language support for themes. This is a 26-Themes-in One, widget ready customizable theme that allows you to alter Graphics, Header, Fonts, Google AdSense, Colors and Navigation links and text from your sidebar after login.

Feel free to check out the latest version at the Demo site. This will solve your problem. Other than that you will have to find a Theme that is in German.
