Transients are being cached but are set to be ignored

In wp-config.php we have set up:

define( 'WP_REDIS_IGNORED_GROUPS', ['transient', 'site-transient', 'plugins', 'users', 'user']);

But it would appear transients are being cached by WP Redis as when we disable the plugin, the transients are more reliable. The site is multisite if that makes any difference to the config.
