Transients in WP_OPTIONS – is tablepress-turn-off-output-caching.zip still valid

The more tables I create the larger the WP_OPTIONS table gets due to the massive number of cache transients. It’s come to a head lately where I am beginning to get DB spikes at night during nightly Cron jobs, which end immediately after I optimize the WP_OPTIONS table and get rid of the transients.

I read some older threads (2-3 years ago) regarding this exact issue which had a download link to a plugin (tablepress-turn-off-output-caching.zip). Unfortunately, I don’t see it referenced on your Extensions page anymore and other WP documentation/links have also been deleted, so I am worried the feature has been deprecated.

Is this plugin still valid (WP 5.6/PHP 7.3) and does the old link (under extensions) still work for the newest version?
