Transition From COM to ORG

Hi WordPress Community,

Looking for advice. I will soon be moving a clients .COM blog over to her new self-hosted .ORG site. However she has a new domain name, and tons of followers at her old .COM blog, so I need to make the domain name transition go smoothly for her visitors. Any suggestions on ways to make this redirect go well? Are there any plugins for the .COM blog that I can use to redirect to new site? Or any tips would be great!!
