    How can I customize a translation and not lose translation when I upgrade to Woocommerce?

  • Generally speaking I believe the best way to edit a translation is by using POEDit or similar software to customize your language mo/po file – WooCommerce recommends the WordPress plugin Loco Translate – then copy the language file to yoursite/wp-content/languages/plugins. The files in there will not be overwritten when your base addon updates, but the addon will prefer these files over the files in its own folder.
