Translate all string vs weight of website and quickness to load

    Hi! Quick question about using TranslatePress :

    Is it better to leave some string untranslated when both languages have the same content, or to translate them all?

    In terms of site bulkiness and quickness to load? Or does it not make any difference?

  • Hello there,

    There isn’t any difference if you translate it or not (referring to the speed), but we recommend you to leave it untranslated / leave the original.
    This way the wp_trp_* tables from your database won’t contain unnecessary strings (it might not be much, but this way the size will be smaller).
