It’s very usefull that this plugin has the GDPR notice before starting a chat.
But is it possible to translate this notice into the language of the website?

  • Hi there,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

The GDPR notice is the new field so it is ready for translation but it’s not translated yet. Please follow this documentation to translate missing strings in plugin translation files: https://wp-livechat.com/documentation/how-can-i-translate-wp-live-chat-support/

Thank you for your time in this.

    Best regards,
    Jarek

    Hello Jarek,

I have followed the documentation in the link, and translated the complete file int dutch. Only 55% was done, now it’s 100% complete. Where can I send this file, so you can use it for future updates?

But still, my problem isn’t fixed with this, because the GDPR notification is not in this file. Where exactly can I find this text?

    Jarek,

Problem still isn’t fixed. Can you please reply on my previous questions?

    Hi @bjoeres,

Dylan here from the development team.

Our sincere apologies for the delay in response, this seems to have slipped through the cracks on our side.

May I ask that you please open a support ticket here: https://wp-livechat.com/contact-us

I would like to work closely with you to ensure your translation file is included in the next update, and that this notice is translated in as many languages as possible.

We would greatly appreciate this, if you are open to working with us to get this resolved permanently?

    Hi Sirs,

    How are you?

I am facing the same issue. The GDPR Notice is not translatable.
    How can I translate that?
I am looking forward to your news.

    Thank You in advance.

    Best regards,
    Nick

    Hello Nick,

Until the developers add this to the translation file, you can add your own translation to the gdpr.php file, to replace the current translation. Downside of this offcourse, you can only use this for 1 language; so if you want to translate it for multiple languages, you will have to wait until the developers come with an update where they put the GDPR notice into the language files.

But still, maybe you get a little further with my tip.

    Kind regards,
    Bjorn

    Hi there,

Thank you so much for your time.

As mentioned, the string is fully translatable, however is not translated by default due to a lack of translations presently available.

With that said, we will be moving towards including some default translations this week to resolve this issue for users who are experiencing it.

    I hope this is acceptable.
