    My background:
I use Yoast SEO for my SEO.
I have already set up the string translation in Polylang settings page, and already translated the SEO site title from Chinese to English (my default language is Chinese).

    My problem:
Although in most cases, the SEO titles work fine, for some posts, the translations don’t work. For example: if you Google “AmEx Everyday Preferred”, in the bottom of the first page, you can see a result: “AmEx EveryDay Preferred (EDP) – 美国信用卡指南”. The last part is my site title, which should be the English version, not the Chinese version.

So how can I solve this problem?

    Hi
Have you “AmEx EveryDay Preferred (EDP) – 美国信用卡指南” in the Snippet Preview option (Page > Yoast SEO > General)?

    Thanks for your reply!

In the Snippet Preview, i see this:

AmEx EveryDay Preferred (EDP) (2015.10 Updated: 30k Off…

And indeed i see a warning “Title display in Google is limited to a fixed width, yours is too long.” so the really result is different from my full title?

The title tag is correct in your source code.
What comes to my mind, it’s this post was published in Chinese, then rectified in English.
But I’m not very competent in SEO, you should take advise with a SEO expert.

Thanks for your clue! I’ll ask my question in the Yoast SEO forum!
