Translate ‘read more’

    I am using WP latest posts in a website. However, it says below the articles on the homepage ‘read more’.
    I tried to translate this with Loco Translate but it won’t work.
    How to translate it, without buying the full version?

    Don’t misunderstand me… I would buy the full version to use on multiple sites if I am satisfied with the plugin, but this hurdle has to be overwon first.
    I read before I can translate this manually in the source code. However, it is not clear to me where and how.

    Please advise

    Hi,

    Thanks for contacting us. Not sure about loco translate but if you open the en-US language file you’ll find a string “Read more…”, translate it and you’re done.
    The pro version option is more for translation in each news block from the configuration ??

    Thanks for you reply. I changed it in

    #: ../inc/wp-fpn-front.inc.php:1263
    msgid “Read more…”
    msgstr “Lees verder…”

    and in

    #: ../themes/default/default.php:99
    msgid “Read more”
    msgstr “Lees verder”

    in the wp-latest-posts-en_US.po-file

    I could not find more options of Read more. However… on my site it is still in english… which is exactly the reason not to by the pro-version… Am not sure that will work then.

    So… what am I doing wrong?

    Hi,

    No no you shouldn’t change this one, everything is located in the language files.
    Could you upload this language files: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B87cDBGbPzChcktac09Lak9sMm8
    Put your website in english US (default Wp language), clean cache and see if it works?

    If you see “Lees verder…” please sand me your german language files, it may have a problem in it.

    I am supposed to see ‘Lees Verder’. It is Dutch by the way, not German.
    I still see ‘read more’ however… never managed to see the dutch translation (lees verder).

    Since my laptop was entirely formatted, cache was erased ??

    Sorry for the delay, but I still would like to know how to show text in dutch…

    Oh yes it’s Dutch, sorry for the misunderstanding.
    Please wait 1-2 days as we’ve developed a tool to translate and override language files easily: https://www.joomunited.com/news/ju-translation-translate-and-get-extension-translation

    It will be soon included in WP Latest posts. Or if you want it right away, please send me your Dutch language file.
