    Greetings,
as you may see from the URL there are some templates in twenty twenty-five where an English label is directly written in it, such as the page not found one (the site is in Italian and most of the labels are correctly rendered).

However, in the .po of the language (Italian, in my case) I am quite sure the right translation is provided.

My question is, what do I have to write in the template code in order to have WordPress take the right translation?

    Many thanks,
    Antonio

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,
If you have made changes to a template you will have to manually update the text.

Thank you, what I mean is that in the default 2025 template there are labels written directly in the page, such as:

    “Written by” or “Comments”

that are not displayed in Italian even though in the it.po file I seem to see them.

What do I have to do in order to see them in Italian when visiting the site in Italian? All the rest of the labels are correctly displayed in the right language.

    Many thanks,

    Antonio

    Hi
    Yes, I understand.

If you have not saved changes to the database, the translation should load correctly, make sure that the translations that you have on your installation are up to date with the ones provided from https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-themes/twentytwentyfive/ and WordPress.

If you have saved changes to the database before switching the language from English (default) to Italian, the English strings are in the database and the template needs to be reset or the text strings need to be manually updated directly in the editor.
