Hello Bulat,
We assume you are currently using a local software to translate Vik Booking in Russian. That is totally fine, as by uploading the .PO and .MO files for Russian, Vik Booking will back them up so that you won’t lose them by installing the future updates.
There are no differences with the language files for the Pro version, but yes, testing all your translations may not be possible without the Pro version. If you can get in touch with our team through our website, then maybe we can find a solution, like uploading your translation on our demo website.
Moreover, we do have offer bonuses to those who contribute on the translations of our plugins, as every translation will increase your account score. By reaching certain points and scores, you will be able to redeem discounts.
As you know, Vik Booking is also available for another web-software beside WordPress, and the Translations Board on our website is where you could get bonuses, but we would need to upload your translations first and assign them to your account.
In order to not go off-topic, it would be better if you could get in touch with our team through our website.
Vik Booking could also be translated directly from WordPress, but their translation system is merging hundreds of “false translation strings” that actually do not require a translation. This is because the PHP code of Vik Booking uses methods similar to the syntax of the GetText translating functions __(), and that’s why WordPress includes many “false translation strings”. Class-methods of PHP should be excluded, but for the moment the WordPress Translation system has not been updated to detect custom class-methods from GetText functions.
We invite you to get in touch with us for any other questions on this topic. Thank you.
The VikWP Team
