Most of the strings on the Donor Dashboard are translatable, but we do have some that are not (yet). Can you share which strings you are having trouble with?

We have a list of recommended tools for translating, and I would highly recommend going with Loco Translate. You can read more about translating GiveWP here: https://givewp.com/documentation/resources/translating-give/

I have Loco translate and I am using TranslatePress as translation plugin.

I hired a guy who did some works on the strings with other plugins, but for some reason he could not fix yours.

Can you advise how to proceed ? I am even willing to give limited access to my site so you can see yourself if you want to.

You are bumping into an issue that we are tracking here: https://feedback.givewp.com/bug-reports/p/donor-dashboard-notifications-should-be-translatable-or-editable

There are a handful of strings in the Donor Dashboard that aren’t translatable just yet, and we’ll need the teams to give them a look before they can be translated.

Any strings that are available will be found in Loco Translate. I would need to know the exact phrases you need (you can copy/paste or send me screenshots of these), and then I can check my own copy of Loco to see if they are translatable. If they are, I can send you a screencast to show you where they are.

Thanks a lot for the info. Actually it seems that the entire word content on this shortcut [give_donor_dashboard accent_color=”#115348″] cannot be translated from english to french, italian and german.

I am happy to give you phrase by phrase but the give donor shortcut above is basically from the plugin so I guess if you go to elementor and copy paste this shortcut you can test it. ?

Would that work for you ? Let me know if you want to proceed differently.

The shortcode you are using won’t help here. It will behave differently on my site then it behaves on your site, and I’ll need to see the problem to be able to dig in.

That being said, the Donor Dashboard is almost 100% translatable, so there is definitely something else happening on your site, and I’ll need a little more information here. Send along your system information. You can do this by navigating to Donations > Tools > System Info (tab) and clicking the button to “Get System Report” and copy/paste that into your reply here.

I’d like to check for possible conflicts and errors that might be stopping the translation from working correctly.

Once I have a little more context, I should be able to get to the bottom of things. Keep me posted!

What I strange is that I don’t have this issue with other parts of your plugin. but only the dashboard.

Any idea ? According to me there must be an issue on that specific page on my site. Can I maybe give you access to this page so you can check ?

I can definitely help here! I’m not able to access sites, but your screenshots worked perfectly, and I can always take a look at a URL from the front end. Most of the strings you highlighted are available for translation, just a couple aren’t.

When you are searching for a string to translate, you can just start typing in the text, and Loco Translate will give you a list of possible matches. For example, here’s the string for Lifetime Donations in the Donor Dashboard:
Lifetime Donations – https://imgur.com/Tb3BcR7

I did find a couple strings that don’t have translations, and we are tracking them for a fix here: https://feedback.givewp.com/bug-reports/p/donor-dashboard-notifications-should-be-translatable-or-editable.

I am however unclear about the process to follow to fix that on my site.

Meaning I have Loco Plugin installed on my wordpress site but I am not sure how I can fix from there the donor dashboard.

Would you be so kind to explain to me step by step how to fix donor dashboard using loco ?

Not sure if there is some sort of “conflicts” with other plugin.

What I find weird is that on my site any other Give Donation form is working fine and is translating effectively, only the Donor Dashboard one is not…..
