Hi there. In vary rare cases, I notice some page titles are displayed in Chinese before the separator. I do not see these directly, but in the website analytics report generated by the Matomo plugin. This does not impact my website performance, but I am curious why this is happening. Is the SEO framework plugin somehow responsible, and if yes, how?

    Hello!

    From https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/35624?hl=en#page-titles:

If we’ve detected that a particular result has one of the above issues with its title, we may try to generate an improved title from anchors, on-page text, or other sources. However, sometimes even pages with well-formulated, concise, descriptive titles will end up with different titles in our search results to better indicate their relevance to the query.

I’m not sure how and if Matomo can pick up on this behavior (correctly). You may also want to inquire with them to be certain. If your website isn’t linked to the Chinese language at all, then something might be amiss in their reporting.

Thanks @cybr . The site isn’t related to Chinese. Since you say the TSF plugin is not responsible, I am marking this thread as resolved and opening a new one at the Matomo support forum.
