Translated pages untranslated posts
-
Hello,
I would like to leave my posts untranslated but have the rest of the page’s content (eg: the header) be translated according to the url.
And I would like to have different urls for each language.
So, for example, the permalinks would be like:
https://www.example.com/blog/en/some-post
https://www.example.com/blog/fr/some-postI currently use Polylang and they offer an option which would allow me to do this but it would require creating an additional, separate post. This seems wasteful as I would simply be entering the same post title and content for all its translations.
Is there some other way to do this? To have different permalinks for different languages of the same post?
I could just dynamically create page elements like the header according to the locale but I would like the url to reflect the locale as well.
I’m new to WordPress so it’s possible that this has an obvious solution that I’ve overlooked.
Thanks.
