Translated post accessible also with other language slug
-
Hi Alex, I’m Federico and only want to track down here the problem I’ve told you by email to check if anyone else experienced it.
I discovered that when I translate a post in other language that it is possibile to access to the page also with the original slug (and the prepended language slug).
For example if I have a post in Italian like https://www.miosito.it/it/italiano and i translate it in https://www.miosito.it/en/english I can also access to translated page with https://www.miosito.it/en/italiano (and also vice versa).
This issue results in duplicate content noticed by Google Webmaster Tools and it’s no good for SEO.
I’ve tested the issue on a clean WP install, only with Ceceppa plugin.
Anyone have similar problem?
Hope to hear news soon, maybe in the next release of your great plugin.
King Regards,
Federico
