Hello,
One possible reason could be that changes have been made to the original English text. Whenever you modify the original text, TranslatePress considers it as a new string and thus, any existing translations for the old string become invalidated. This could explain why you are seeing only a portion of the text being translated after a week. If you edit your content frequently, this could be the issue.
However, we have a new feature that might help with this issue: Automatic Translation Memory.
Automatic Translation Memory serves the same translation for similar text, as long as the strings have at least 95% similarity. This feature can be particularly useful if you’re making minor corrections or adjustments to the original text. Instead of losing the existing translation when you correct a typo, for example, TranslatePress will use an existing translation if it’s very similar to the current original string.
Please note a couple of key points about this feature:
- It does not work when making changes to a text that is part of a translation block unless the new text is manually merged again in a translation block.
- Each string needs to have a minimum of 50 characters to be considered for Automatic Translation Memory.
I hope this new feature will help resolve the issue you’re experiencing. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
P.S – You can find this option in the Advanced Tab.
Best regards,
