    Hello,

    I’m experiencing an issue with TranslatePress on a website using the Bricks theme. After upgrading from version 2.8.1 to 2.8.2, the buttons for selecting text to translate (<trp-edit>) and navigating up one block (<trp-split>) have disappeared.

    Through troubleshooting, I identified the problem as an incompatibility with Bricks. The issue persists with all other plugins disabled (except TranslatePress), but resolves when switching to the 2024 theme.

    I can provide access to a staging site where the issue occurs if needed.

    Thank you!

    Hello there,

    Thank you for reaching us!

    From what I can see you do not have the latest version which is 2.8.3.

    You can upgrade to the latest version and see if this could solve this issue.

    Also,could you please add the following CSS in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS to see if it resolves the issue?

    trp-span{

    position: absolute !important;

    }

    Let me know about this!

    Kind Regards,

    Hi,

    I should have clarified earlier: I tested it with 2.8.3 first. I then downgraded until I found a working version, and that’s 2.8.1.

    I also checked and that CSS would not help, because the <trp-span> element does not show up at all when hovering over the <translate-press> element. It’s not just hidden, it’s absent from the DOM.

    Hello again,

    We know about this issue where the pencil icon is not appearing so we are trying to fix this.

    Until then, you can use the String List Dropdown menu to search the string you want to translate.

    Kind Regards.

    Hello Matteo,
    Was this problem completely resolved in their update?
    Thank you.
    Thierry
