    Hi,

I want to build a WooCommerce multilanguage webshop with separate domains for each country – it’s a single site (not multisite).

While Polylang and WPML supports this (they have different pages for each language), the “frontend translation” plugin “Translatepress” does not support separate domains for each language, but only subdirectories (eg. sitename.com/fr, sitename.com/de etc). So I looked at this plugin to solve this.

    Three questions:

    1. Can this plugin used to make all pages under “sitename.com/de” – for instance “sitename.com/de/postnameABC” show up as “sitename.de/postnameABC”?
    2. And will I we able to rank for “sitename.de/postnameABC” in Google instead of “sitename.com/de/postnameABC”?
    3. This should be for all posttypes, including all pages in the WooCommerce store.

Basically I want to rank the local sites based on their domain instead of their subdirectory.

    I hope it makes sense.

  • Hi @appscaptain thank for reaching out about Domain Mapping System.

We are actually working on the TranslatePress integration as a PRO feature to hopefully be release within 1-2 weeks. In terms of SEO, yes, that is also available in our PRO feature set.

However, this is a forum for the free plugin, where we can only discuss the free functionality of the plugin, so I would kindly request you to please contact us regarding any PRO features at support@gauchoplugins.com moving forward.

I would always suggest configuring the free version of the plugin first and ensuring it works in your server environment with at least one mapping. Not all hosting companies support alias domains. You can review our documentation here for more details:

Looking forward to hearing from you for any other questions.
