Translating a plugin

  • I have built this plugin – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/sliced-invoices/ – and a user has kindly translated it into Romanian. I’ve added a languages folder and added the correct .po and .mo files and he tells me it is working great for him in Romanian.

    But when I visit the plugins page, the Tranlsations section is empty except for the button that says “Translate this plugin”. This takes me to a list of languages and Romanian is at the top of the list saying the stable version is 43% complete. But it is not using the translations in the languages folder as this is 100% complete.

    I’m a little confused as to the differences here and what the correct steps are to translate a plugin.
    Can anyone shine a light on this for me?
