Translating image descriptions not working?

Hi, I am trying to use Polylang to have image descriptions in two languages. I followed this documentation (https://polylang.pro/doc/working-with-media/) and created the 2 translations as the post says, but when I try to open the image I can’t choose the language to see on the description.
