    yo lo he solucionado cambiando el formato 12 January 2014, por 12/01/2014
    para hacerlo puedes editar el plugin, dentro del código php en super-rss-reader.php

    busca la línea (sobre la 160)

    // Get the date
				$date = $item->get_date('j F Y');

    y la cambias por

    // Get the date
				$date = $item->get_date('j/n/Y');
