i don’t recall another way actually,the words you see in the themes are either from default php pages in the theme or from functions.php so you have to change the words like that,its not really hard but it takes time to translate all the English words

Another way is to open your theme’s .pot file in “Poedit” software and add the translation for the words like “previous & next post” in the listing of translatable words in .pot file opened in Poedit.
