Hi, when I install and activate Gutenberg it is already translated using the official translation in my language. I downloaded it, modified it, and uploaded into the /plugins/gutenberg/languages folder, but my translation isn’t used. Tried renaming the .mo file but not sure what it should be. If someone could please tell me how I can update the plugin’s translation. Thanks.

  • Hey Andy,
why are you updating the translation file? Are there any typos or improvements? Then you can contribute to WordPress and improve the translation for all users on https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/gutenberg

The translation is made via translate.www.ads-software.com, so the files are located in your installation under /wp-content/languages/plugins/.

    Hi Soren,

Thank you! I didn’t know about that file location, but that solves the problem.

There is a typo actually in this one, and I like to make my own translations or modify existing ones to serve my personal needs. I will be happy to contribute corrections.

    Cheers.
