Translation Chinese Simplified

    Hi,

    At first, say thanks for the plugin – the functionality is just great.

    I am running 1.3.4 version (WP4.9.7).

    I installed Polylang so the site will be Chinese/English. I used loco translate plugin for the translation and it works fine for the most part.

    Only 2 issues:

    1. the “subscriptions” tab title in “my account” page cannot be translated (https://imgur.com/a/2LGuGis). Although I can change it to Chinese in the plugin setting page (https://imgur.com/a/MXB42FB), but it will still show Chinese in the English version of the page.

    2. the subscription period, e.g., variable “%2$s” cannot be rendered in Chinese (https://imgur.com/a/rvxT0dO).

    Please let me know if I can make it in the plugin in any way. Or give me a general direction if it is not possible. I have a feeling I may need to do the “Poedit”, but not 100% sure.

    My 2 cents: “3 months” should be ”3个月“ which is more original sounding. Right now, it is ”3月“ which could cause ambiguity for March.

    Another thing which is not related to my website, but it helps to make your plugin perfect from Chinese language standpoint:

    I wrote this before: “My 2 cents: “3 months” should be ”3个月“ which is more original sounding. Right now, it is ”3月“ which could cause ambiguity for March.”

    This is true for “month”, but not true for day/year. The old way works fine for day/year.

    In one word:

    if it is “month” – the current way is a perfect way.

    if it is “day/year”, then the old way is the best.

    If you can make it conditional here, your site will fit all subscription periods.

    If you do make this change, if you need, let me know I can do a free test for you to make sure “month/day/year” works fine for Chinese.

    A little note: “个” is quantifier for “month” in Chinese.

    Another minor issue: every is not translated into Chinese. https://imgur.com/a/VRT6u0i

    every is “每” in Chinese.

    I did not see it yesterday. After I deleted my own translation from loco, the issue appeared.

    Thanks a lot – you are amazing. My subscription is ready to go now.

    My 2 cents if you want to make your product even better:

    This Chinese quantifier “个” should only be used with Month. It can be removed for day/week/year.

    Example:

    2 months -> 2个月
    2 weeks -> 2周

    2. Right now “active” was not translated right: https://imgur.com/a/n7NKKFw

    It was translated as “initiative”. The Correct Chinese word in the context is “活跃“。
