Good morning everyone and thanks for reading my report.
In the image of the items on the main page of the shop, when prices are reduced, the wording “On sale” (In italian it should be “In offerta) appears at the top right.
If it is true that the Italian translation of “On sale” can also be “In vendita” in this specific context (lower price than the list price) the correct translation would be “In offerta” while in the image the words “In vendita” appear which has a different meaning.
I tried to make the change in the section reserved for Woocommerce translations for some time now, but despite various updates the writing still remains “In vendita”.

    Hi @reteinformatica

The translation of “On Sale” to “In Offerta” instead of “In Vendita” makes sense in the context you’ve provided.

However, please note that changes in the translation files can sometimes take a while to reflect on your site due to caching. You may clear your website cache and your browser cache. If you’re using a translation plugin, please also make sure you’ve updated the translation there as well.

If the issue persists, I’d recommend using the Loco Translate plugin for your Italian translations. Plus, you could lend a hand with the Italian translation project over at https://translate.www.ads-software.com/locale/it/default/wp-plugins/woocommerce/

I hope this helps! Please let us know how it goes or if you need further assistance.

Hello and thanks for the reply. Sorry, maybe I explained myself badly, when I wrote that “I tried to make the change in the section reserved for Woocommerce translations” I meant that I made the change, already several versions ago, in the Loco Translate of the Wocommerce plugin.

Could you please attach a few screenshots to help us replicate the issue from our end? :?)

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, here are a few free options:

Also, have you searched for this string in your theme files in LocoTranslate? It could be coming from your theme?

Look forward to hearing back from you.

    Hi @babylon1999,

    Thanks to reply.
As you asked I took a screen shot from my site where there is Woocommerce. Here it is:

I suggested editing the translation here: https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/woocommerce/stable/it/default/
I tried to search in the theme settings (Astra) to see if it could depend on the theme but I couldn’t find anything to change this writing

I tried to translate the same string on my test site, and everything is working as expected.

Could you please try switching to the Storefront theme temporarily to make sure this is not a theme-related problem?

Let us know how it goes!

    Hi @babylon1999,

you were right, the translation depends on the theme (Astra). I tried as you told me, that is, by installing and activating the “Storefront” theme and here in fact the translation is correct.

    Hi @reteinformatica,

I’m glad to hear that you managed to identify what was causing the translation to not work as expected!

If you need any further help with getting the translation to play nicely with your current theme, I’d suggest reaching out to Astra theme support, as support related to third-party plugins/themes is outside our scope of support. ??

Here is a direct link to Astra theme support page:

On the other hand, I’ll go ahead and mark this as resolved then, feel free to?create a new topic?should you need any further help.

Also, if you have a minute, we’d love it if you could leave us a review:

    Cheers!
