Translation in the dashboard with Loco Translate does not work with a string

    I have a problem. The sampled plugin is translated correctly, except for the following string:

    “Hello rolf (not rolf? log out)

    From your account dashboard you can view your recent orders, manage your shipping and billing addresses and edit your password and account details.”

    So whenever you are logged in, this text appears, which I cannot translate by any means. I have already tried everything. Deactivated plugins, changed the theme and even translated the dashboard.php in the directory. Everything was unsuccessful. The support also had no advice from Wocommerce directly, they told me to contact Loco Translate. However, they said it was due to Woocommerce. Does anyone have an idea?

    I am attaching a screenshot here. It is also interesting that the first part of the string is at least partially translated!

    From your screenshot, you want it translated to German, correct?

    Just to confirm, you already deactivated all plugins (but Woo) while having the Storefront theme active and the issue remained, correct?

    I checked, and on my website it shows a few different options for German, can you please confirm which one you are using?

    I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:

    System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.
    Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs. Then you can use the selector to search for Fatal Errors.

    I’m afraid I have to publish the status here. GitHub is not my thing! But what’s striking is that this is the only part of the account that can’t be translated, although there are some words in German in the salutation. I’ve actually done all of them and haven’t had any problems!

    I’ve conducted a test on my site by simply switching the language to Deutsch (Sie) in the General Settings of WordPress, without the use of any additional translation plugins.

    Upon doing so, I observed that the string translated correctly into German. Here is a screenshot for your reference:

    The fact that the translation works correctly in a clean test environment suggests that there may indeed be an override happening on your site, which could potentially be caused by the Loco Translate plugin.

    Given your efforts so far and the information provided, my recommendation would be to reach out to the Loco Translate plugin support team for their input. They may have insight into any nuances with the plugin’s operation that could be causing this specific translation challenge.

    Please keep in mind to provide them with the same level of detail that you’ve shared here, as it will be invaluable in assisting them in diagnosing the problem.
