    Hi guys,

I am facing difficulties to translate a number of customer side phrases such as:

Your email and cart are saved, so we can send you email reminders about this order.

    And

Yes, I’m Ok With You Sending Me Additional Newsletter And Email Content

I do use the local file and I added the above phrases there, but it didn’t work. I’ve also tried to make local domain file in scope of the plugin, but that was not helpful as well.

Would you mind suggesting the right way to go with the translation?

    Thanks

Hi kostritsaalex! The recommended way to translate the plugin text is go to the plugin translation page and add the translation for the string you desire to change there.

Once that’s done the translation should be approved by a WordPress translation editor, and then you’ll be able to download the .po and .mo files for your selected language.

You must rename the downloaded .po and .mo files to ce4wp-{language_code} (example, for Spanish from Spain files must be named ce4wp-es_ES.po and ce4wp-es_ES.mo) and put them in <your-project>/wp-content/languages/plugins folder for the plugin to recognize them.

WordPress reads translations from .mo files, which are binary files, that’s why adding a translation to a .po file in your local won’t work.

    Hope that information helps!

Just out of curiosity, to which language did you wanted to translate those strings and what would be the proper translation?
