  • I’m not related to this plugin in any way. But I’d guess that before you’ve logged in, the system won’t know who you are, and therefore would use the system language.

@tobifjellner true, but as logged in user the system knows who I am.

It looks like you need to have another language active during the plugin installation process. Your steps now can be as follows:

    1. Delete the plugin.

    2. Switch the site language to Swedish.

    3. Install the plugin.

This way the plugin will download the Swedish language and the translation will start working correctly.

@wpchefgadget sorry if I was unclear. If the site language is Swedish and the user language is English. It’s translating to Swedish for query monitor but I except it to be English as I am a logged in user with English language. This because of that many of clients sites are in Swedish but I prefer to see everything in English to copy the English error message to plug-in authors.

Tried to delete and reinstall but it’s the same.

    thanks !

Some more information, If I am a logged in user and go visit the site then Query Monitor is English (Site language Swedish and User language English) and all the other menus are in Swedish (WordPress and Plugins) in the top bar.

But then when I go the admin panel its the opposite. Query Monitor is translated to Swedish and WordPress and other plugins are English.

Did you try to switch the whole site language to English, delete the plugin, then install it, then switch the site language back to Swedish? Also, the Query Monitor plugin is not really our plugin, but the principle is the same – a plugin downloads its translation based on the currently active site’s (not user’s) language. There also might be plugins in the WP directory that let you forcibly install additional translations.

    @wpchefgadget .

    1. Deleted both Limit Login Attempts Reloaded and query monitor, Removed the \wp-content\languages\plugins Swedish language files for both plugins.
    2. Changed language to English US for site (User still English US)
    3. Installed plugins and activated
    4. Changed Site language to Swedish
    5. Both plugins are in English
    6. Updated WordPress Translations found for both plugins for Swedish
    7. Result is the same as before its translated to Swedish for both Plugins (Site Swedish and User English). My expected result is that when logged in user it should show the plugin in English (as user language) and Not translated to Swedish (Site language). Of 54 plugins installed this two is the only ones that has I have a issue for some reason, except Wrong Language on swedish site language and english user profile language · Issue #448 · WordPress/health-check (github.com) that plugin author made as fix and its working great. The issue is not new but its first now that I reporting it. No Other known translation plugin installed. Also tried to Troubleshoot with Health Check & Troubleshooting – WordPress plugin | www.ads-software.com with only Limit Login Attempts Reloaded activated and issue still exist. Also updated the version to latest: 2.25.21. Tried two different sites and locally all with same result. Thank you!

Update. The issue to Query Monitor seems to be “solved” if I disable the LiteSpeed Cache – WordPress plugin | www.ads-software.com plugin, but It doesn’t help for Limit Login Attempts Reloaded See Picture for translations calls for the Limit Login Attempts Reloaded from Query Monitor.,

    Thanks!
