    Dear Support,

I hope this email finds you well. I am currently using the WooCommerce translation plugin to translate my website into Serbian. Overall, the translation has been successful, except for a specific issue related to the empty cart slide-in that appears when the cart is empty.

The problem occurs when a customer clicks on the cart icon, and the slide-in cart is displayed. The default text in English appears instead of the translated version, despite having the appropriate Serbian translation applied in the Loco Translate plugin.

I want to emphasize that this issue specifically affects the slide-in cart when the cart is empty. When there are items in the cart, the translated text appears correctly.

I kindly request your assistance in resolving this translation issue with the empty cart slide-in. It is crucial for the consistency of my website’s language and user experience that all elements, including the empty cart slide-in, are properly translated.

Any guidance or recommendations on how to fix this translation issue would be greatly appreciated. I am eager to ensure that my website provides a seamless and fully localized experience for my Serbian-speaking customers.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt assistance and a resolution that resolves the translation issue with the empty cart slide-in.

    Best regards,

    Uros

  • You said the appropriate Serbian translation can be seen in Loco Translate. Is that Loco for the WooCommerce translation file or for the Astra translation file?

I suspect the text you are seeing is coming from Astra, specifically class-astra-woocommerce.php line 3367. I can’t find this text in astra-sr_RS.po. Please check.

So, either you try to get the serbian translation for astra updated, or you can make a custom translation for this string.

Load and activate the Say What? plugin.
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/say-what/

Add a new text change at Tools > Text changes.

The settings for the text change are:
    Original string:
    No products in the cart.
(must be exact, include the . )
    Domain
    astra
    Context
    (leave blank)
    Replacement string
    (put your translation here)

Do the same for Continue Shopping

Don’t be tempted to edit the .po file.

    Hi @savicu14

We appreciate your detailed explanation of the issue you’re experiencing with the translation of the empty cart slide-in. Providing a seamless and fully localized experience for your customers is indeed crucial, and we’re here to help you achieve that.

I checked your website and saw that you’ve successfully resolved the translation issues on the cart page.

If you’re still experiencing problems, you could temporarily switch to the default Storefront theme and deactivate all other plugins except WooCommerce and Loco Translate to see if the issue persists.

I suggest you reach out to the developers of the Loco Translate and the plugin you’ve used for the slide-in cart features. They may have come across similar issues in the past and could offer you a solution.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Thanks!
