Translation not applying

  • Hi guys,
    I’m running an english version of wordpress, but my blog has the other language (russian). When I’m applying the translation to the plugins, it (translation) doesn’t work.
    I have configured the wp-config.php and the .mo file is in its languages folder.
    What did I do wrong?

  • Plugins (and themes) need their own translation – .mo file. Otherwise the WP .mo files will NOT translate them.

    As I have written earlier I have uploaded plugins .mo files in their directories. I took them at the official plugins sites and put exactly where they were to be. Then I configured wp-config.php. But none of the translations work.
