Translation not showing out of a sudden

  • Hi,

    I have this strange thing that out of a sudden some strings (related to one feature of my website) stopped working. They have been translated before but just stopped showing now. All else on my website is still translated ???♂?

    I am building a job board and have three parts: single jobs, single resumes and single company profiles. Its only for the single company profiles its not translated anymore. It even works to get some strings back if I change the version of the single company template (I can choose three different ones in my theme with different layout).

    I know it must be something I have done, because it cant just not show out of no-where. I have read the FAQ to see if I have the normal issue but its not that either. I use custom path for the translation files also.

    Any idea what to look for and/or test? ??

    @devsaredead are you by any chance working on a job board also? Or are you using Yoast free plugin perhaps? Asking to see if there is some correlation ??

    hello, not using Yoast but using WpJobManager as a portion of my theme. But I don’t think it’s related. Some of my strings are translated but somehow not fetched anymore.

    Well I think that it might be a connection here – atleast we both use WPJM. And my strings are translated in loco but does not show for company profiles anymore.

    I cant say for sure when this happened but I updated to WPJM 1.39 and out of a sudden they have included new translation files for my language (swedish) – also some admin menues are now translated to swedish which where english before. And after this I have found the issue with the lost translations for company profiles. But cant say for sure because I have just only recentrly looked at the company profile and saw that the translations where lost.

    so it could be that WPJM update has messed the things up. Yet, this is hard to recover unless LOCO’s support comes to help.
