@perbr543 – Translation readiness will be applied more fully in a future release. We are aware of its lacking in the current version of NextGEN Gallery and will be addressing this as soon as we can.

Thanks for the fast answer. Do you have any estimated time plan when this is going to happen? One week, one month, several monts?
It is important for me to know otherwise I need to go looking for another plugin.

as perbr543 it’s very important fir me ta have a complete traduction of this plugin in my language (french).

It’s a wonderful plugin ans i would like to still using it.

Erick here. Just wanted to say that we know about this but don’t have a date. We still need to provide the necessarily translation file that includes all the terminology in the new interface and then push that out to the wonderful folks who’ve helped with translations in the past, get their translations, and then release them in the plugin.

As you may have noticed, there were some issues with the 2.0.x release that we needed to work through and we’ve been focused on functionality. Now that the 2.0.x branch is stablizing, the translations are higher priority, but it’s still probably going to be a couple weeks before we push out the new translation file and start accepting and including new translations.

Sorry for that delay. I do know the translations are important to many people. I will say that seeing more people comment on the need for them like this will increase the priority for us to tackle translations vs other issues. So if others are needing this badly, please post here just to reinforce the priority.

First of all, thanks for all your work with this great plugin!

I would also be very glad if the translation part could be fixed. For me it is necessary to be able to use the plugin in my non-english site and I would be very greatful if you choose to prioritize this.

This issue is causing me a bit of an problem too as I have created several sites where the site owners upload their own pictures. These site owners are Italian and speak no English.

I would be happy to help undertaken translation work to see it happen. Please get in touch with me. If it’s just a case of updating the mo and po files, I can certainly do that.

I’ve migrated all my clients away from NextGen. That’s what happens when you ignore an issue and offers of help.

@jeremy2805 – We have always been open to and remain open to help from the community … I’m sorry to see you did not feel you were welcome to contribute to the project (and there was actually quite a bit more than updating .mo and .po files at the time you mentioned you might be interested).
