As others below, the translation on two of my client sites just stopped working. However, switching off WP Rocket’s Javascript Minification feature has solved the issue and it’s back working fine again.

GTranslate HAD been working fine previously with minification on – so I’m not sure if the issue lies here or with WP Rocket.

  • Hi @dougw71,

I have an open topic in this forum and ran into yours, so thought I’d help a bit.

According to WP Rocket, some GTranslate configurations are not compatible with their plugin. For details and a possible solution, click below.

I dropped WP Rocket due to many issues it caused for our websites, so I switched to SG Optimizer. It works great with GTranslate.

    Best wishes!

    Hi there

Thanks for the link to the WP Rocket site… there’s a page cache disabler plug-in that’s accessible from that page, so I’ll play about with and see what the best solution is (javascript magnification off / page cache off).

What’s odd is that it WAS all playing nicely with each other until pretty recently.

And SG Optimizer IS now pretty good – most of my sites are hosted with Siteground and I use it on those – unfortunately the site I’m having issues with is elsewhere, on the client’s own hosting.

    Your time/help’s much appreciated!

    Hi,

It seems that your caching plugin is optimizing some of the js codes of our plugin which causes issues.

Make sure that you are using the latest version of GTranslate. Go to GTranslate settings page and click on Reset code to default under Widget Code section, then save changes. You will need to clear your website cache and it should be fine.

    Thanks! ??
