Hi there – this is a little bit complicated, but I’ll try to explain it as best I can, just let me know if you have any questions.
First, you’re going to need four language files:
Goran – Swedish
Goran – Finnish
Edin – Swedish
Edin – Finnish
Edin is the parent theme of Goran, and so some strings come from there.
Here is where to download those files:
https://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/themes/goran/sv/default
https://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/themes/goran/fi/default
https://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/themes/edin/sv/default
https://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/themes/edin/fi/default
It looks like some of the strings you’re looking for are not yet translated, like “Posted on”:
https://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/themes/edin/sv/default?filters[original_id]=128818
To add the missing strings, you’ll first need to download the .po file for each theme and language, using the Export option at the bottom left.
You can then add any missing strings using a .po editor like Poedit. When you’re finished adding your strings, you’ll need to convert the file to .mo (machine object) format. You can also export a .mo format directly from GlotPress at the bottom left, if the translations look complete.
Once you have your four .mo files, you’ll need to rename them like so:
edin-sv_SV.mo
edin-fi_FI.mo
goran-sv_SV.mo
goran-fi_FI.mo
You’ll then need to upload the files into this folder in your WordPress install:
/wp-content/languages/themes/
Let me know how it goes!
