translation of the “Push your idea” form

I can change the title etc there, but only for one language. It won’t translate between two languages (english/greek for example)

I don’t have a standard solution for you, it would require modifying create-idea-form.php and updating the variables that are like: $standardFormLabelsExploded with translatable strings. The issue is, I don’t know if variables can be used for translatable strings – further info: https://developer.www.ads-software.com/reference/functions/__/

In the next release I can try and make these variables translatable but I am not 100% sure if it will work.

Hi @northernbeacheswebsites I did the following:

I chose to translate the “default” string that shows if you don’t write anything in the settings.
For example:

else {
$formTitle = ‘Push your idea’;

became
} else {
$formTitle = sprintf(__(‘Push your idea’,’ideapush’));

added the string through loco translate and it works.
The question is, is there a way to make the modifications in the create-idea-form.php without losing them in the next update?

In the next update I am going to make the variables translatable, but as I said, I am not certain this will work. I haven’t had enough time to test this because I am a freelancer and working on other projects at the moment.

So I recommend before updating next, keeping a copy of what you have and trying out the new plugin and see if that works for you as well.
