    Hi,

No translation of the wp-login form if I Enable Rename Login Page Feature.

Can you clarify what you mean? Are you talking about translating that feature into another language? Or are you saying that the settings don’t change after you enable this feature?

Always: Captcha label (Please enter an answer in digits:) is not translated

Are you using a cache plugin in your site? What capture setting have you enabled in the plugin?

    Kind regards

    Hi,
I refer to the “standard” WP Translation, the Site Language is set to German. So the labels of wp-login are “Benutzername”, etc.
As soon as I enable the Rename Login Page feature all the Login Labels change to the english version : “Username”, etc.

Cache plugin: No cachify is installed but deactivated.
Captcha: I enabled the registration Captcha and the Brute Force ->
Enable Captcha On Login Page and Enable Captcha On Lost Password Page.
You can see it at ta-camp.de/wp-login (Here the Rename Login is deactivated)

Hi, are you referring to the following German translation? If you are, you will notice that the language is not yet completed.

Does the above help you in any way?

    Regards

No, its the wp core translation, and the labels of the login.php are already translated (Usernamer … -> Benutzername).
All In One WP Security & Firewall seems to supress this translation as soon as you
use the the Rename Login feature.

Hi, as I mentioned above. The German translation is not yet completed. I just tested one of my Spanish sites and all the strings are translated into Spanish when I enable both options. Rename Login Page and Enable captcha on the login page. The reason for this is because the plugin has been completely translated into Spanish.

Let me know if you need more help.

    Thank you

@mrbsolution In one of your latest version you have changed all the translation strings and their behavior. Since then the translations aren’t working anymore.

    An example:

    Before the update:
    $errors->add('empty_username', __('<strong>ERROR</strong>: Enter a username or e-mail address.' ));

    After the update:
    $errors->add('empty_username', __('<strong>ERROR</strong>: Enter a username or e-mail address.', 'all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall' ));

This is causing the issue. Before this update everything worked perfect, so i’ve reverted the update in more than 10 wordpress websites because of this issue. Wp security is running currently on an old version on my websites and the translations are perfect.

I’m waiting for the update that fixes this issue. The Login page & co is perfectly translated. Please fallback to standard wordpress translations if your plugin is not translated yet.

Please have a look into this issue soon.

    Thanks

Hi @markmaurerrr, thank you for reporting this. However I am not having any issues with the Spanish translation in a few sites.

I have submitted a message to the developers to investigate further this issue.

    Kind regards

Hi @markmaurerrr, looking further into your question.

Can you let me know what version where you running before updating and having issues with the language string? Also can you let me know which language are you referring to?

    Thank you

    Hi @mbrsolution,

    thanks for the fast reply.

German language as the thread opener.

Version 4.2.7 is working with this translation function and its running perfect, as you’re relying on standard wordpress translations:
    __('<strong>ERROR</strong>: Enter a username or e-mail address.' )

Fe. version 4.3.2 is not working anymore as the translation function is changed to:
    __('<strong>ERROR</strong>: Enter a username or e-mail address.', 'all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall' )

I’d love to see that change reverted in the next version. It makes no sense to add the all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall domain, as you are (and should be) using standard wordpress strings at this part of the plugin.

    Thanks a lot

Hi @markmaurerrr, now I know what you mean. The following name is now used for all translations for AIOWPS plugin. This is following Polyglots standard translation naming method.

    all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall

For example, the Spanish mo and po files are named as follow.

    all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall-es_ES.mo
    all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall-es_ES.po

If you go to the following URL German you will notice that not all strings are translated. You are most welcome to help out and translate the German language ??

The language files are now downloaded from www.ads-software.com. They are downloaded to the following path yoursite.com/wp-content/languages/plugins/. In your case your customized mo and po files are located in the following path yoursite.com/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/languages/.

If the above is correct and you want to use your custom files, carry out the following steps. Delete the mo and po files from the follow path yoursite.com/wp-content/languages/plugins/ after you have renamed your customized po and mo files located in the following path yoursite.com/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/languages/.

I am sure the above should fix your issue. Keep in mind that when ever you update the plugin you will have to delete the files downloaded from www.ads-software.com until the German strings are fully translated.

Let me know if the above makes sense to you.

    Kind regards

    Hi @mbrsolutions,

i know that by adding the translation domain parameter all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall you now have to add a translated .mo and .po for german.

But this makes absolutely no sense at all. Those are no custom strings that only you are using in your plugin. Those are standard wordpress strings that already are translated for many years in the standard wordpress language translation files (and you relied on them as well until the new versions – everything was working fine).

So why would you do the extra work to translate them again. That’s redundant translation and not necessary at all, as all needed strings are already there. All those strings would be a duplicate and if they make changes to the standard wordpress translations you’d always have to update your plugin translations again for the same strings. This sounds ridiculous to me.

Could you please explain why this change was made? I can’t find a plausible reason for that.

    Thanks and kind regards

Hi, I might have misunderstood you. Are you talking about the login form? If you are what part of the login form are you referring to?

    Regards

    exactly! ??

    Plugin Contributor mbrsolution

    (@mbrsolution)

What part of the login form are you referring to?

Every part. As already said: all translations where you added the all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall domain parameter to the translation function are now not working anymore.

So the complete login page, pw reset and so on are now in english and not in german anymore. This is 100% not supposed to be.
