Translation overriden by other language

Hi,

I installed the polylang plugin to translate my Shaka theme based site from english to spanish. For pages , when translating to spanish and saving the content, the english version gets overriden with the spanish content and viceversa. Not sure why is this is happening.

Also when creating spanish and english pages version independently with different content, after I tried to related them using the polylang text field auto complete the content also gets replaced the current page content.

Can you please give me some advise?
