The Events Calendar is well translated, Tickets …are not. (free version, Theme Twentysixteen)

1.) Having a calendar in German and a RSVP only in English is not useful.
(A day ago a customer refused to use The Events Calender because he needs RSVP – and Tickets plugin shows only English field-names and messages.)

2.) Configurable option for showing attendees in front end is needed too, but although the checkbox in the RSVP form (list public yes/no) indicates this function, there is no public list shown at all. (So customer decided to use https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/rsvpmaker/ instead of The Events Calendar + Tickets)

  • Hi. Translations for both plugins are managed by www.ads-software.com

Event Tickets’ is available at https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/event-tickets

The ability to display who is attending is only available in the paid upgrade, Event Tickets Plus.

    Hi Clifford,

it seems that only the paid upgrade is translated.

And although it is the decision of your company which services are free and which are not, I think it is a bad idea to mix up both parts. => Showing a “list in public” box in free version which makes only sense in paid. And even a free version should work like an advertise for the paid. And the free version of Tickets – in this strange crippled, not translated state – does not.

But thank you for your response. I see there are no changes for my 2 problems to expect in free version. So I can remove this product from my recommendation list.

Hey there and thanks for the feedback! We recently released Event Tickets 4.2 and tried to clean up the consistency of the “list in public” functionality between Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus. I hope this help a bit, but please do feel free to open another thread if you have any other questions or comments to add.

    Thanks!
    Geoff
