• I’ve had a problem with the translations for quite some time. Some plugins have not yet been fully translated, even though the language files were available with a 99% translation. To locate this error, I set up a WordPress installation from scratch. The language setting of WordPress is set to German and checks that the admin language is also in German. I then installed plugin after plugin. So I was able to rule out that accidentally deleting language files with cryptic names, installing and uninstalling plugins, old files or file fragments or database tables or entries caused the error. The installation including plugins was successful. The translations were largely complete. I carried out the missing translations with Poedit, so that my installation can now be seen almost entirely in German. Two plugins are still displayed to me in two languages, one is WP-Statistcs and Maintenance. The translations of the two plugins are 99% available and yet the translation is displayed in two languages. To get to the bottom of the problem, I renamed the PHP file in the global Language folder. Afterwards, the translations were displayed almost completely for both plugins. The translations, witch were missing, were also not included in the language file. I was told the PHP file is very important for some functions and must not be deleted (or renamed). It didn’t take long before I received a message from my WordPress saying that WP-Statistics had caused an error. I first renamed the two PHPs back to the original name in order to keep my Worpress installation error-free. My question is how can I get this language problem under control? It seems the PHP file makes the issue. Rename or delete is not the correct way.
