• Hello,
I experience same issue on more than one website: some translations are lost. I noticed that it happens in strings that contain particular characters such as the apostrophe or accented letters (i.e. ‘ à è ì ù ò).

Please see screenshots: the suggestions from translation memory highlights parts of string without any difference, but there are always characters like apostrophe or accented letters.

    My default language is Italian.
    I never used “Automatic Translation”.
    The string

    Any help?
    Thanks

    Hello there,

    Thank you for reaching us!

Would you be able to do a screencast of the issue in which you present it to see what is really happening there?

Also,if you change a string and add a symbol to it such as “.” this will invalidate the translation and that string will be treated as a new string.
    ??
?TranslatePress will treat the second string as a new one and you`ll need to add a new translation for it.
    ?
To facilitate translation retrieval we implemented the Translation Memory feature.

If you go to the translation interface and select that string, the Translation Memory feature will show you translation suggestions for that string (based on other strings that you have translated in the past).

    Let me know!

    Hello Anghel,

I’m sure, no changes, not even to punctuation, were made to the texts that were translated, I know this will invalidate the translation.

    Here a screencast:

    Thanks!

We have the same issue, except going from English as the primary language to Spanish. Someone went in and translated to Spanish and when they came back later, it wasn’t all on the page. Some of the Spanish worked, but some of the content was in English even when viewing the page in Spanish.
