translations not working after update to WP 4.6.1

  • I uploaded some DE quiz translations on a DE website and the changes were working fine, until I updated the website to WP 4.6.1. Ever since, my translations are gone, and I can’t seem to get the .mo file to work again. (i.e. the old original translations are showing)

    I deleted the two .po and .po files, created a new clean .mo file with poedit and uploaded. Didn’t work either.

    Does anyone know where WP is taking this other translation since the buttons were working even when I deleted the files?

    Anyone else using this quiz to work with WP 4.6.1. well?

    found the solution.

    As of WP: 4.6.1, the correct folder for the .mo file should be wp-content/languages/plugins instead.
