Hello everybody,

I have troubles in translating content with reference to URL’s that are enclosed in theme sections.
I’ll explain:

I have Theme Hestia active, and I have enclosed a ref to an URL in every “features” section, inside a button style (in the text fields, now is possible to insert some html content). But when I do a click, the ref page is shown in the preferenced language (Force the URL’s option in plugin settings is activated, and also I have tried putting realitve and absolute URL’s (wwww and without wwww).

Also in Ribbon section, the button “dicover more” is shown untranslated (in this case, no html to refrence to an URL is required. The Section self do it alone)

On the other hand, the pages shown in the top menu the translation works.

It would be nice if someone for the team could help with this issue and explain what happen.

Thank you for your time.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi,

You need to enable “Force language in custom links” https://translatepress.com/docs/settings/#force-language-custom-links

Also, make sure your URL contains www in it, as that’s the current domain you’re accessing the site.

Hello Cristian,

thank you for your time. As I explained in the topic above, I already activated the option “force languaje in custom links”.

I explain what happen exactly:

I have Hestia theme (child theme). This theme has several sections (about us, features, contact, etc..). In the”features section”, I use it to put as a feature, a service of my company. Every feature has this options/fields (choose icon, color, title, text and link to. The field “link to” I leave it empty. What I do in this case is to put a html code inside the field “text”. That html code is a “discover more button” (in catalan: DESCOBREIX MéS) with a href to an URL:

a href=”https://www.menorcafesta.com/animacio-infantil”>DESCUBREIX MéS</a

As you see, I put www in the URL, but the site redirects me just to the spanish version (the translation works), BUT redirects me just to the main site “https://www.menorcafesta.com” instead of “https://www.menorcafesta.com/animacio-infantil”.

On the other hand, in another section of the theme there is a “Ribbon section”. In this sections there is also a field “link to”. I put there a complete URL:

https://www.menorcafesta.com/local-festes

but also in this case the site redirects me just to the main site https://www.menorcafesta.com instead of the complete URL.

The weird point IS, that ALL the page links in the top site menu (animació infanitl, bodes, et..) the translation works like a charm.

It seems that all URL references that I put in the several sections of the theme, the “force language option” doesn’t work.

I hope I could give you now some light with that. You can try if you want, to change from spanish to catalan all this things and see what happen.

Thank you SO MUCH for your time and responses Cristian.

Hi,

I was able to replicate this issue. This is good, as we should figure out what’s causing it.

Next update is due tomorrow, but I’m not sure we’ll be able to make the fix in this version, but it should be included in the next version for sure.

Thank you for taking the time to replicate this.
